Alex DeRenzy produced more than a few good films during the 1970s but he also produced more than a few awful ones. This one falls into the second category. Simply a dumb way to make money off a gimmick. Long Jeanne Silver was a New York runaway who made her acting debut in Shaun Costello's Waterpower in 1976. She then came to San Francisco landing on The Mitchell Brother's doorstep. The Mitchells picked her up and put her in live sex shows. Soon washed up, DeRenzy decided to use her in one of his hardcore quickies and shot a standard vignette film with her peculiarity as the centerpiece. Now for those of you who don't know where Long Jeanne got her name, well...She doesn't have one of her legs (yes, you read that right) and uses the stump the same way gay boys use their arms!

So Long Jeanne Silver (the film) is just that, consisting of scene after scene of Long Jeanne sticking her long john in lots of girls (and even one boy in by far the film's funniest scene). To explain my negative review of this supposed cult classic, it's not that I'm a prude but this film is so boring! Maybe some people can sit through 70 minutes of dumb boring leg stump sex but not me. DeRenzy, who certainly proved himself a great director through such titles as Femmes DeSade, Pornography In Denmark and Pretty Peaches, just doesn't pull it off in this one.

Josefine is called in to grant a dying baron his last wish in front of the witnesses and the notary. Then he signs his will and bequeaths his castle to Josefine on the condition that she sets up a school to help people overcome their sexual problems. Her clients are couples who are ignorant of the ways of love and some single females. We see some very practical lessons taking place in which Melitta (Stacy Donovan) is the main assistant teacher. A mock wedding cum gang-bang is arranged for the inexperienced bride Fanny and groom Josef (Hans-Peter Kremser). Some of the single females become whores. Fanny also joins the team.

Josefine and Hannel are bathing in a stream when two men steal their clothes, demanding sex before they return them. This is interrupted by the arrival of the cavalry officer von Raabthal in his car. (He is played by the actor who plays the client Xaver in Aus dem Tagebuch der Josefine Mutzenbacher.) Von Raabthal rescues the naked girls and takes them home for a threesome. It later transpires that his college-girl is Agathe, one of Josefine's new whores who has been taught how to become a dominatrix and that Colonel Nowak, a friend of Von Raabthal, is the man whom she has been dominating in the brothel.

This results in a warrant being served for Josefine's arrest. She is taken off to a cell which she finds is already occupied by two whores. They lure the guards into the cell for sex. Josefine steals the key, enabling the escape of all three girls, leaving the guards locked up. Meanwhile, two government officials arrive at Josefine's house for the inquiry but they are easily seduced by Fanny and Agathe. Josefine is back at the brothel with her new recruits in time for Antonia (Jeannie Pepper) to join in the orgy already taking place and experience a DP. The men are also joined by the manager of the prison. The men of law are content with the services at Josefine's house and they drop the warrant.

ALL NIGHT LONG features plenty of light hearted humor, especially from the cynical man at the awards ceremony who seems unimpressed with everything and a cat fight on stage over an award. The men and their sex race also features plenty of laughs and even a "what the fuck moment" or two, such as a slow motion money shot complete with "splashing" sound effects. That was a first for me.

Then in TAPESTRY OF PASSION there is a sex killer on the loose and it is up to private detective Johnny Wadd to solve the case for the victims' gorgeous sisters and lovers. His only fee to be paid? Well sex of course. Wadd follows the clues until he comes face to face with the killer herself, The Black Widow, who runs her sex house out of the back of a newspaper. How her name or advertisements don't raise any red flags is beyond me but The Black Widow charges a mere $50 (with a money back, satisfaction guarantee!) to dominate her victims and poison them whilst fucking. TAPESTRY OF PASSION works on the back of the Johnny Wadd character. His smooth talking (among other assets) allows him to sleep with even the most suspicious of his clients along with being a viable foe for the nasty Black Widow and her henchman.
